Rush hour at Mirigama Departure on Central Expressway

Serious traffic jam is reported at the Mirigama Departure of the Central Expressway today (January 17), claims Ada Derana contributor.

The Mirigama-Kurunegala area of the Central Expressway was vested with the general public on Saturday (January 15) by Head Of State Gotabaya Rajapaksa as well as Head Of State Mahinda Rajapaksa as well as rush hour was observed at the Mirigama Departure the other day too.

The Ethugalpura Entry, the 2nd stage of the Central Expressway which covers 40.91 kilometres in range, has 5 interchanges at Mirigama, Nakalagamuwa, Dambokka, Kurunegala as well as Yaggapitiya.

Traveling on the newly-opened stretch of the expressway was toll-free from twelve o’clock at night on Saturday up until 12.00 p.m. the other day.
