Speaker endorses Minimal Retirement Age of Employees Invoice

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has endorsed the certificates on the Payments entitled “Minimal Retirement Age of Employees” and “Termination of Employment of Workmen (Particular Provisions) (Modification)” in Parliament immediately (17).

The Invoice was handed in Parliament on Nov. 11 and deems the brand new minimal Retirement Age of Sri Lanka as 60 years of age.

These Payments goal at extending the retirement age of personal sector workers to 60 years. There has not been a set retirement age for many workers within the non-public sector particularly. Retirement of personal sector workers was typically primarily based on the phrases of the settlement between the employer and the worker.
