Round 33,000 passports in two weeks

Within the first two weeks of this month, round 33,000 (33,000) new passports have been issued below the one-day and regular companies, in line with Immigration and Emigration Division sources.

Between 1,500 and 1,700 individuals have obtained their passports from the Colombo Head Workplace per day. Accordingly, round 23,500 new passports have been issued by the Head Workplace throughout the first two weeks.

The variety of new passports obtained from the Matara, Kandy, Vavuniya and Kurunegala workplaces of the Division of Immigration and Emigration within the first two weeks of this month is round 10,200 (ten thousand 2 hundred), the sources mentioned.
