New bundle to draw flights to MRIA

A brand new bundle can be launched to the Mattala Rajapaksa Worldwide Airport (MRIA) in a bid to draw extra flights and vacationers, minister of Tourism – Prasanna Ranatunga says.

In late September, Cupboard approval was granted to a decision submitted by the minister to launch the airport immigration tax for 2 (02) years from the date of inauguration of the operations by worldwide aviation corporations and to award reductions for the following 04 years on touchdown and parking prices with the target of selling MRIA operations.

Accordingly, the minister says that it has been deliberate to function round 06 cargo flights every week on the airport within the close to future.
